The third week in July we loaded the car and early in the morning we started our 12 hour journey to Pleasant Grove, Utah to visit Chrie, Scott, & the kiddos! It was a long drive but in the end was worth it.
We had a blast. We did a little hike or more of a sightseeing. We brought everyone in the family and had a little picnic and then went sightseeing. There was a little pond with fish in it that all the little kids loved looking at. All the younger boys wanted to of course go off on their own & the oldest girls, well they took pictures all the way.
Chrie & Scott had gotten two cats & one of which came home one day pregnant with baby kittens!! It was shocking to them & us. So the week before we were coming up to visit, their cat had the kittens. The momma cat had 5 but 2 of them died and only 3 of them remained. They are so cute that Bailey, Hayden, Avery & Finley all wanted to take all of them home for our cat, Suri. They would just lay in the basket and crawl around & meow. Super cute!! The momma cat was such a good mom and would watch out for the kittens!!
Chrie & Scott's basement was finally done and that's where all the adults got to sleep which was so nice because all the kids got to be in their cousins room this year. In the basement they have a theatre room which was so cool... & LOUD!! They had a pool table & a little kitchen where you can eat snacks and what not. The one thing though that all the older kids enjoyed was the security system. One of the nights we were up there a boy came and ding dong ditched them and the security camera got the kid all on video and the kids were able to recognize the boy and went to his house. It was great!!
We did a lot of other things too. We went to a museum with the little girls, the older kids went to a water park, we shopped of course, & had movie nights every night!! Utah was a blast and we can't wait for next summer to enjoy another week in UTAH!! :)
